Why it matters

When someone searches for a service near them — "nail salon near me" or "massage downtown" — Google shows a map with local businesses. A verified Google Business Profile means your business appears in those results with your hours, photos, reviews, and a direct link to book an appointment.

Adding your FrontDesk booking page URL to the listing lets customers go from search result to booked appointment without ever leaving Google.

Step 1 — Create or claim your profile

  1. Open Google Maps and search for your business name. If it already appears with an "Own this business?" prompt, click that link to claim the existing listing. Otherwise continue below.
  2. Go to google.com/business and click Manage now.
  3. Enter your business name. If Google suggests a match, select it — do not create a duplicate. If nothing matches, choose Add your business to Google.
  4. Follow the prompts: select a business category, enter your address or service area, and sign in with the Google account you want to use to manage the listing.

Step 2 — Verify your business

Google requires verification before the listing goes live. The most common options are:

  • Postcard by mail — Google mails a code to your business address (arrives in 5–14 days). Enter the code in your Business Profile to complete verification.
  • Phone or email — available for some accounts; Google sends a code instantly.
  • Video call — a Google representative may schedule a short call for service-area businesses without a storefront.

Until verified, your listing is visible only to you. Complete verification as soon as possible so customers can find you.

Step 3 — Add your phone number

In your Business Profile dashboard, open Edit profile and go to the Contact section. Enter your business phone number.

Use your FrontDesk number

Your FrontDesk phone number is your AI receptionist line — it answers calls, takes bookings, and logs transcripts automatically. Using it as your Google Maps contact number means every call from the listing goes through your receptionist. Find your number in Business Settings → Phone.

Step 4 — Add your website

In the same Contact section, enter your website URL. You can use:

  • Your own domain if you have one.
  • Your FrontDesk mini-site URL — for example getfrontdesk.app/site/your-slug — if you do not have a separate website. The mini-site shows your services, hours, and a booking button.

To copy either URL, go to Mini-site in the portal. The Public links card at the bottom shows both the mini-site and booking page links.

Step 5 — Add your booking page URL

Google Business Profiles support a dedicated Booking link that appears as a button directly on your listing in Maps and Search — separate from the main website link.

  1. In your Business Profile dashboard, click Edit profile.
  2. Open the Contact section and scroll to Booking (sometimes listed under Appointment links).
  3. Paste your FrontDesk Booking page URL. You can copy it from Mini-site → Public links → Booking page in the portal.
  4. Save the change.

Once Google processes the update (usually within a few hours), customers see a Book button on your Maps listing that takes them straight to your FrontDesk scheduling page.

Booking link availability

The Appointment links field is available for most service businesses. If you do not see it, check that you selected an appropriate business category during setup, or look for it under Edit profile → More.

Keeping your listing up to date

Google rewards accurate, active listings with better placement in local results. A few habits that help:

  • Keep your hours current, including holiday closures — update them in Business Settings in FrontDesk and mirror them in your Google profile.
  • Add photos of your space and work — listings with photos receive significantly more requests for directions and calls.
  • Respond to customer reviews, both positive and negative. Google surfaces responsive businesses more prominently.
  • Use Google Posts to share promotions or announcements; they appear directly on your listing.
